Yes, he is a good player.
But there is great talent there and we can get a BPA and fill a need.
At #7 he will be bpa, allmost no matter what imo
If the draft happens the way the original post has it, then I agree.
    He would be the BPA.

As long as we don't take Quinn, I'm happy.

Landry is great, but would it pay to draft him with all our DB's already?
If you take someone in the top ten, you need to take the BPA, not draft according to needs.
If you do not want to take the BPA, then you trade down.
    That's a good point.

I agree as well. Excellent point.

Troy Williamson is an example of that.
In basketball, Rafael Araujo is also a perfect example.

that is what the texans said about bush last year. Peterson would be a huge improvement over taylor.

Whay I mean is the level at which some of these guys are at is so close.
So, if they are all tremendous players we should get one that we need.
We do not really need a RB at this point.

    Re: Pick #7

ive been wanting to draft AP in the last few weeks, he is an amazing talent, who ever says we should not draft an rb why not take one of the best in college, and out of the final 4 teams in the playoffs they all had a 2 back system in place

If we do grab AP in the draft then we need to draft a Wr in the 2nd... preferrably Sidney Rice
;D ahh i would be happy with that draft then right there

    Thanks josdin00

Either did the Bills when they took McGahee a few years ago.
A young Travis Henry coming off pro bowl season, and they took a chance on McGahee.
Ok, so maybe it's not the best example seeing how Willis never really panned out like they had hoped, but you just never know what the war room will decide.

    Chuch.

Adrian Peterson - BPA...he's a beast check out this video http://youtube.com/watch?v=AP5RgOy5fjA

What do you guys think of taking Adrian Peterson?
    WOW, nice video.
I love the stiff-arms, lol, and how he gets low for leverage.
    Nice moves too.
He reminds me of a bigger Barry Sanders.

I'd love to see us draft him.
Although by his physical style of play, he might get nicked up a bit in the NFL, imo.

Then I see where you are getting at.

My take at that is that some positions you'd - say - rule out somehow.

I don't think it'll be bad to get another RB if he's bpa. Chester Taylor got too many carries last year anyway, and it's good to have more than one quality RB.

But that's just my take. I've said it before, and I think Taylor and Peterson could supplement each other.

Thanks to PPE for the sig.

I don't see Peterson as an improvements over Taylor, especially not in his rookie year.
But it would give us an incredible 1-2 punch, and set up AP as Taylor's successor.

I agree with ultra in that RB is probably the least of our needs this offseason, but if he is the BPA then we take him regardless IMHO.
