Pick #7
Looking at this year's draft crop, I'm kinda getting excited. Look at these seven players. All of them are difference makers, and we will get one of them.
1. Calvin Johnson
2. JaMarcus Russell
3. Brady Quinn
4. Joe Thomas
5. Gaines Adams
6. Adrian Peterson
7. LaRon Landry
This is how I see the top 7 playing out...
1. Raiders - Calvin Johnson - I think Moss is gone, and he's bthe BPA
2. Browns - Trade up - JaMarcus Russell - Offense is going to be very much improved
3. Lions - Gaines Adams - Defense needs improvement
4. Tampa Bay - Joe Thomas - Their line sucks
5. Cardinals - LaRon Landry - Great safety tandem
6. Dolphins - Brady Quinn - Trade up to end Culpepper fiasco
7. Vikings - Adrian Peterson - BPA...he's a beast check out this video http://youtube.com/watch?v=AP5RgOy5fjA
What do you guys think of taking Adrian Peterson?

Every time I think of the draft, I find myself hoping they got the brains and the balls to pick him of if he's available at #7
Thanks to PPE for the sig.

Re: Pick #7
Peterson is a great player, but there are a few players in that list that I think would be a better fit for the Vikes at #7.
But if it plays out that way I definately wouldn't be disappointed if we pick him up.Zeus wrote:
When are you going to realize that picking out the 20 bad throws this year and ignoring the 300 good ones does not make your point?

As long as we don't take Quinn, I'm happy.
Landry is great, but would it pay to draft him with all our DB's already?

Re: Pick #7
Me 3..
Getting the second best player in the draft at 7th is pretty good value.. I love the way he just keeps going and going.. He's big and strong, got some crazy ass moves, he IS Oklahomas team, in college he was basicly a threat to score everytime he had the ball..
He can catch out of the backfield.. Will be an awesome goal-line guy because of his size and he can split carries along with Chester - Will give the franchise a playmaker, spice up this franchise.. a 1-2 punch will take pressure of, of Jackson, Bollinger or whoever our QB might be.. i would love to have this guy.. if we pass on him i will be sick!
Please your gods in heaven, and in valhalla send Adrian Peterson to the Vikings with the 7th pick..!!

PUT IN JACKSON!

If you do not want to take the BPA, then you trade down.Zeus wrote:

We do not need Peterson.
Yes, he is a good player.
But there is great talent there and we can get a BPA and fill a need.
