Were you trying to manipulate us into thinking that lawyers aren't...

    Cajun, you are tricky!

Next you are going to tell us that the Yankees aren't the evil empire.

Re: Peterson, Quinn Likely to Hold Out?

I am sorry, I didn't mean to take the thread on a tangent.

I don't think this will be an issue.
Sounds like he just wants fair value.
It will depend on the other players wanting the same thing with out being greedy.

Hope that the other players drafted around AP don't delay their signings.

No real worries about signing him. With this complicated offense it takes two years to learn so he won't be contributing fully until next season anyway and by that time he will be under contract.

That being said, its not illegal for a player to go to camp unsigned, is it?

    Why?
If they're hurt, they get no compensation and are worth less when they DO sign a contract... simply put.
If they are not signed, they can not be at training camp.

I'm not worried. Both AD & Childress said a deal should get done on time & he would be in camp.

It's going to come down to the wire. It happens every year. Greenway didn't sign last year until the day training camp opened.

How many holdouts have there been in the last 6 years or so with the Vikes....I think they do a wonderful job of getting their players under contract.
I expect nothing differerent from AP

I'm sorry, but what relevance does the past 6 yrs. hold?

    NONE.

New ownership, new HC, new staff...

    This year is THIS YEAR.

    Past tendencies are arbitrary.

I will disagree just a bit, because our salary cap master has not changed.....
