Not to mention the first 5 practices in TC.I am guessing he will be fine, but he did miss a portion or all of four games in 2005 due to an ankle injury.

I just read on KFAN, it's not his ankle at all, but a hip-pointer......Not good news for sure.
If it is a hip-pointer, here is a link that explains exactly what AD may be going thru right now and whats to come..

Let's get the injuries out of the way now.

From what AD said, sounds more like a bone bruise than a hip-pointer.
A true hip-pointer would knock him out anywhere from a couple of weeks or longer.
Those deep bruises or a bone bruise can be very painfull also.
