Penn State's QB Robinson
I heard the Vikes are looking at the former Nittany Lion, maybe in the 3rd or 4th round. Coaches are calling him a "slash" type. Could be a "David Palmer" for the Vikes, capable of being a playmaker on Special Teams as a returner, or line up as a 3rd down reciever or back. Is he worth drafting??
Can he be a "project" at QB ?? He played good in the Orange Bowl against FSU.I ll be dead and cold before I m green and gold

Thanks to PPE for sig

The Steelers are also looking at him. I think he would be a good project as well.

Re: Penn State's QB Robinson
I hope he's not a "project" at quarterback, it would take a lot to turn this guy into an NFL Qb. I watched most of the Penn State games this year since everyone around me is PSU crazy and a lot of my friends go to Penn State. He was bad a lot of the year. He made some tremendous plays with his legs and he also made big plays at big times, but most of the time it was off of sheer athletic ability.
He's got a pretty strong arm, but he's terrible accuracy wise. He'd miss wide open recievers by 3 or 4 yards. One game that sticks out in particular was when they almost got upset by Northwestern. He had two or three throws on comeback routes that he missed short and to the inside of the reciever and the ball bounced two or three yards in front of the reciever, so it's not like they were even close! I think he'd be good as a Randle El type as an athlete, but as a quarterback, I just don't think so.

Re: Penn State's QB Robinson
Actually - JT Sullivan is a better prospect.......than Robinson. Hill is probably cut prior to the season. If the eagles release Koy Detmer, dont be surprised if Koy finds his way onto the roster as the #3. If the Vikings draft a Qb - it will be Jay cutler.

Re: Penn State's QB Robinson
Robinson should not have went to the Senior Bowl as a QB. I think he could have raised his stock if he went as a RB or a WR. I don't see this guy being drafted to play QB. That being said, I wouldn't mind seeing the Vikings taking him in the 5th round. Robinson has potential.

Yeah - maybe a 5th rounder - otherwise forget about it.
