Pats Leftover WR's
Now that i got you all exited with my catchy title take a look at this list.
Randy Moss, Donte' Stallworth, Troy Brown, Wes Welker, Kelley Washington, Jabar Gaffney, Reche Caldwell, Chad Jackson, Bam Childress, Jonathan Smith, Kelvin Kight, Chris Dunlap, and C.J. Jones.
Only 5 or 6 tops will make the roster. The rest will become FA's.
I gots no problem with picking up any of the first 9 listed.
Especially if Brown gets cut (I know he just signed a new contract, but if he gets out played in TC Billicheck won't be afraid to cut his ass)
I bet Brown would even be a better CB option than Whittaker.

Re: Pats Leftover WR's
I will respond.
Good catch Ultra.
Hey I would take a few of those guys as well.
Nothing wrong with a Chad Jackson or a Kelly Washington at all.
Either would be an upgrade over McMullen for sure.
The issue is I think Childress is satisfied with his WR group right now.
Remember he has a few young unproven players with a lot of potential in J. Carter and M. Nance.
It never hurts to add depth and competition.
I don't think Welker will be one of the players let go.
He is able to do too many things.
He's a good WR, PR & KR.
He also does a great job on the defensive side of STs.

Plus the pats gave up a 2nd round pick for Welker i believe.
They gave more for Welker than they did for Moss!

Re: Pats Leftover WR's
I've read in multiple articles over this offseason that Chilly is comparing the WR position to the LB position of last year. The issue is I think Childress is satisfied with his WR group right now.
Lots and lots of fans had doubts about the LB core including myself, yet they turned out to be a solid unit, expecially with the help of the Williams boys up front, but regardless they played very solid all season.
If Chilly feels comfortable going through the year with the guys they have on WR then Im all for it.
I truly believe Childress will turn out to be a very good coach in the NFL.
Last year was his first year and at times he looked like a rookie QB with his eyes in the headlights, but everyone including coaches have to go through the growing pains.
The Vikings in general have done a good job putting some peices in place to make this year a better year, and years to come i expect big things.
Expecially at the WR core.
Remember it was only a few years ago that the "Franchise" players departed Minnesota.
Hard to replace guys like they had overnight.
It takes some great drafts, and some good FA signings.
I'll stay optimistic at this point!
Plus it's 30 days or so until the pre-season starts...YEAH!!!

Re: Pats Leftover WR's
Pats will keep Moss, Stallworth, Brown, Welker, Caldwell, and Jackson.
The rest suck."I hate when threads are destroyed by facts and logic."

Re: Pats Leftover WR's
Well out of that list who i think will be in FA
and who I would like to pick up is the Jabar Gaffney. He was in Philly to start
the year but ended up in NE and in the play-offs last year I had him in my fantasy and put up good numbers because Brady liked him. But he isn't bad. I'd like him as a pick up but he'd be like a #3 maybe a 2 with our wide out corp.
I dont know enough or watch Chad Jackson and not enough of Wes Walker on account of I don't like the AFC. I don't watch the AFC at all (NFL Replay excluded). Because it doesn't effect the Vikes or any team I follow unless we play them the next week. So they could be good pickups but Im not knowledgeable of them enough
I know how much you guys love links
Here Jabar Gaffney

Chad Jackson

Wes Welker

None of them have done much. Not one of them had
700 yards ever but this late we can't expect more right. I dont think they'd be bad pick ups just I wouldn't expect them to be make make much of a difference in our team.
