Re: OU's WR Malcolm Kelly Anyone?

Yeah, can't say I blame him for that.
Its pretty widely believed that turf is faster and the whole freakin point of the thing is speed.

OT in the first so we can trade Mound McTurdie for a 2nd that we can then afford to spend on Malcolm Kelly or Early Doucet, whoever falls to us.
That still leaves us another 2nd for addressing the pass rush with a DE/DT guy too.

    Here's the thing on Kelly.
    He catches everything.
Triple coverage, two guys on his back and he still catches the fricken ball!
Concentration we haven't seen since the better years of Cris Carter.
The safety blanket that every QB needs, especially, a young one.
And, at 6'4 220 he's got size too.
    Best yet?
He would be our third guy, trying to take the slot from Wade, cuz Berrian and Rice are gonna go off
    ;D

The thing about that highlight reel, is that it isn't just a few highlights played over and over, its got to be 40 or 50 or more catches and everyone of them is impressive.
Deep routes, crossing routes, slants, one hand grabs, you name it, he does it.
I haven't seen that much footage on Doucet, but I hear he is that same kind of all around, reliable guy.

the thing about our WR position that scares me, is if we sustain injuries to 1 or 2 of our top guys, we're right back at the bottom of the league there...
Control the line, control the time, and give your D a chance to shine!!

Doucet is that same catch everything you throw to him, slot guy...compared favorably to a Hines Ward, for example.
If Kelly is the same type of guy, I would be happy with him as well (well, almost...gotta root for my homey, ED first).
Kelly will most likely be gone by Round 2 though, due to his size.
BANNED OR DEAD...I'LL TAKE EITHER ONE

I just heard on radio that Kelley had a horrible workout.
4.76 / 40 (no wonder he stayed away from combine) and a temper tantrum with the snoozers coaching staff about what surface to do the 40 on and something about misdiagnosing his injury before the bowl game.
I'll try and find more details...
    Here you go...
Kelly not pleased with OU after pro day
    Nice, thanks.
I still like him b/c of concentration and hands, and quality of routes.
    4.68 isn't as bad as i thought.

    Very true.

Got to like how many catches that guy made with poorly thrown balls.
    Sounds like a good fit
    ;D

Wonder how much the surface hurt him on his 40 time, definitely see why he's pissed though...unless he knew he couldn't run a sub 4.5, so went to the natural grass to give him an excuse??
    something kind of fishy here.

    Don't rely on these.
I think they should've hidden Troy Williamson's from Mike Tice.

When will people learn that Rappers are entertainers and not to take the crap they rap about seriously. It's like going to see a Mafia flick and then complaing about the negative illegal lifestyle they engage in.

It's a genre heavy on Boasting and bravado. Please don't take it as anything more than the kid was freestyling and needed a word that rhymed with sipping

    Back to his pro day!
I feel for the kid and I hope that they inital statment that the scouts asked for ti to be moved is correct. I hav enever heard about anything like this though.

    He sure does.
Remember u heard it here first about this mor0n. To recap so far he raps in front of a camera in uniform post game about illeagally abusing Codine and Alcohol mixed together.
Then while appearntly high on this stuff blames the same staff that he "shouted out" in his codine rap for tanking his draft stock.

He is the kind of smoot that will party like a gaksta then canseco himself and those around him.
