You are probably the closest to having this correct.I think if we cut him it's gonna be the kick in the jiggly butt he needs, another team will sign him, and he'll play to potential.

As I said earlier.
I wonder if they will keep him this year with the rationale in mind that Whinny might not be coming back. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Re: An opportunity for McCauley
His inconsistencies are pretty random and pattern like. Lets just say Asher Allen was a way better 3rd Rounder than McCauley, IMO. McCauley has suposably worked hard this offseason and provided focus, he's got Champ Bailey's "Physical Talent" but that only gets you so far.
With Chuck Gordon coming back, Benny Sapp, Newcomer Paymah and Rookie Allen it will be tuff making this squad. If Payamah is what they say he is on specail teams, we could use that, Allen is going nowhere and if Gordon gets back to form I wouldn't cut him. Lots to see in the secondary, even at Safety, I really like Colt Anderson, maybe a Practice Squad Guy.
And yeah, the problem isn't the coaching and scheme so much as it's McCauley. Blaim him, not he coaching and scheme, Cedric Griffin is good because he's good, bottom line, same with Winfield.
