Re: Opinions on a good trade for Culpepper???

If we got rid of Culpepper we need to get a young QB to groom to be the starter for us. We cant trade him for any other position player but an early draft pick or a QB. If we traded him for a draft pick where we would get a shot at Young or Lineart, Brad Johnson could start for us and then we can get him ready to come in mid season.

oh and no our defense doesn't make pepper better or worse!! our defense has nothing to do with how culpepper plays quarterback.
Actually it does, if the defense cant stop the other teams offense and our offense cant score points right away it means Daunte plays from behind and tries to hurry things, which he cant do whatsoever. It also means our offensive line has no choice but to go into pass protection on almost every play which makes it alot harder for them and inturn for Daunte.
Tell that to Brett Favre & GB who had a 17-0 half time lead.

if daunte hurries things because we are behind thats it's fault not the defenses fault. he needs to know how to play smart and get first downs and move the ball down the field keep the other teams offense off the field and not fumble the ball or throw interceptions. i mean common if our defense isn't playing good our offense needs to eat up the clock and try to score on every drive and not throw a stupid bomb every few passes and waste downs.

Play calling is usually up to the coaching staff, not the quarterback.
