    oh happy freakin day.

chilly gone? we can only hope it's true.

The blog cites a source close to Vikings owner Zygi Wilf as being unhappy with Childress' lack of success and his absolute lack of popularity with Vikings fans

It's hard to know if the blog is reputable or just pulling the story out of their butt
Isn't that what most blogs do?

i didn't look at the date. my bad.
i just got sooooo excited about it i had to put it up.

by the way, a lot of fired coaches get the "vote of confidence" shortly before they get canned

No way he gets fired after a .500 season and a much improved team that pushed for a playoff spot. That's how coaching success should work in my mind.

Year 1- Wipe the slate clean and try to mold the team from the ground up. Show some promise in some good games but probably don't make playoffs.
Year 2- Continue building the team through the draft and make a playoff push.
Year 3- Fill any remaining holes in Free Agency and the Draft and make a serious run at the division and the playoffs.

    And thats an ideal situation.

While every team believes they have a shot, the truth is that only 6 of 16 even make the playoffs.
Everyone expects every team to be great, but not every team can be great.
3 years from shithole to playoffs is more than impressive when you look at how competitive this league is.

Even though we need to upgrade in several areas I don't think that starting from square one is the answer either. However TJ and Chillys confidence in him may lead to his downfall if he remains the teams starter. like I said before I would not be surprised if changes are made with assistants
