Re: Offseason moves will pay off for Vikings
Questions about the vikings at the end of last year:
a. Pass rush?
b. Wide Reciver?
c. Secondary?
d. Quarterback?
e. Right Side Of the O-line?
a. Jared should help.
b. Bernard Berrian should give a quick fix.
c. Madieu Williams and Tyrell Johnson, present and future.
d. still questions but BB should help, and we got faith.
e. This is the only thing left and Herrera,Cook, or one of the johnson could prove to be good this year

I say we have 3 things to worry about on the OL and Herrerra and Hutch aren't one of them.

Re: Offseason moves will pay off for Vikings
OLine is still some concern but i think it will work out. I think there are some moves to yet be made especially when it comes to cuts before
or during preseason. I just feel like they are not done yet. I have a feeling chilly will be lurking under other teams radar seing who is full of oline men and trying to make a move there or wait til cuts.I am THE #1 Sidney Rice #18 Fan ever! Don't Be surprised when this kid IS a superstar! He is humble, smart, tough, talented and has alot of character! Takes alot of pride in his work, team, fans and life. Watch out for this kid! I think he is awesome! Everytime he touches the ball its MAGIC!

That is my hope also. The line was my biggest concern in the offseason and the one that got the least help, but I do feel they can solidify the line before the season. If we go into the first game of the year without adding some veteran OL, I will be very nervous about the season.OLine is still some concern but i think it will work out. Re: Offseason moves will pay off for Vikings
The key word here is on paper. We had an outstanding offseason. One of the best ever. Time to prove we are not just paper. I think most of the pieces are in place. We can only go as far as TJ will let us. Hopefully the young man has it in him because most QBs would drool over commanding this team. We are Super Bowl ready no matter what those silly ass Packer fans say. It is time to shine because this could be our year! Go Vikes.

We still have issues here as well. Whats McKinnies status gonna be and when he does play will he be able to stop a DE from getting around him.
Will Cook continue with the same maturation process that TJ is going through and how will Birk play this year.
Will he be able to perform as the line capt this year as well as stop the blitz packages up the middle?
* Some sacks can be coverage sacks, WR's weren't the best.
* Unable to pick up blitzes can be put on AD's pass blocking.
* TJ not reading the D, finding the hot receiver, or checking off
* Run blocking near the end of the season wasn't the OL as much as the 8 men in the box.
OL's play better the longer they work together.
Marr, what I don't understand is what the issue with Birk is?
He's a pro bowler.
Is it because of his problem with not getting a contract extension?
I think Birk will play better than ever this year... he needs to prove that he is worth big $$$, either to the Vikes or other teams.
The one point I do agree on is the unknown status of McKinnie.
Losing your long term starting left tackle is a problem.

Birk did go to Pro Bowls in the past ... but that does not make him a pro bowler anymore. Our line definitely has a few problems, but I think with another year together they may be able to work those out.

Re: Offseason moves will pay off for Vikings
I hope they pay, but I am cautiously optimistic.
I think we will be improved over last year, but we still have a ways to go.
Plus, we have to get all our players used to playing next to each other.
Also, our line had some minor probs last year, and I am not realy sure we have much depth/talent there, and considering Mt McKinnie may be taking a vacation at the start of the season, that could be an issue.

concerns over those positions. McKinnie is over rated and Birk is one of the most under deserving pr o bowlers I have ever seen(last year).
I think drafting Sullivan shows they have the same concerns.

Re: Offseason moves will pay off for Vikings
Personally i don't think Berrian will be a big of a contributor as some people on here think...
I mean he's good but in this run first offense the receivers just won't get as many yards as elsewhere. so i think it could take a while before we see a receiver with 100+ yards a Game. I think the Offense overall is gaining more with the addition of Berrian instead just Tarvaris and berrian...Rosie O'Donnell is a dude!
