Offord Re-Signed

Hey guys i dunno if Willie Offord was a FA or not but the dallas news reported that

**Offord, who spent most of his season on injured reserve after undergoing knee surgery but was a valuable special teams player and backup safety, agreed to a two-year contract, according to his agent, David Canter.**

and also

Leber played at Kansas State and was drafted by the Chargers in the third round. Leber has 12 sacks in his four-year career and could replace **incumbent starter Keith Newman, who isn't expected to be re-signed.**

How do they figure that Leber is better than Newman...Newman had an outstanding year last year...so the FO decides to dump him for basically the same talent level??? Enlighten me...somebody!!!

Leber is much better at covering a TE which was something I guess Newman could not do.

newman is more of a downhill run stopper LB, while Leber from what i hear best stregnth is Coverage. So better for the Cover 2 Defence

From what i understand leber gets to the QB when asked, (prove is his sacks, nobody on the roster has sacks like that) plays smart and knows how to cover, something we have 0 of on the roster.

He may have been overpayed but i'll wait to judge on that.

leber would be a help to our special teams. i dont think he would start.

He started almost every game of his career with the Chargers. We have a poor inexperienced LB problem here, what makes you think he won't start?

Not to mention he's getting 4 mill a year.
