all I can say is, I'll be extremely disappointed if the Vikes dont get a QB in the first round. Having Fairly would be good but they vikings NEED a QB. even if they manage to get McNabb, he'll only be good for 2, 3 years max.

If they don't get one in the first, then the Nevada QB in the second would be the way to go.

if they end up only drafting a guy like Stanzi in later rounds i'll become a Lions fan (Just kidding, I couldn't not root for my vikings).

interesting article on NFL.com about the lack of good QBs that have ever been taken in the second round.. so I'd rather not try to buck the trend and get our QB in the first round please.

I guess you have to wonder were ole Ricky boy and company have the QB's projected/rated on their board.

A QB that can win you games would be alot more helpfull than a guy who will give you half the defensive snaps.

Is Locker or a Stanzi rated high enough to be taken in the first or are they rated in the second. Mallet seems to have dropped off of all boards right now, perhaps into the top of the second.

Mayock is talking about him now.

I agree. Gonna be a record number of them taken. Mooch is saying that guys like Stanzi will elavate because of the lack of FA. That and they are projected to eventually be a damn fine QB in this league.

You know, thats a discussion I've only heard touched a bit.

Can't remember who it was but they were saying how some of the FA vets are getting pissy cause they know if a team that needs a cat from the position he plays, might not get as big a payday if that team takes a high pick instead.

That just reminds me of Sidney, Why don't we just draft a WR in the first if our QB isn't there and give ole Sidney the heave-ho.

That is the only scenario that i would personally be ok with not drafting a QB in the first.

and i've watched Stanzi, he was ok in college but the NFL will tear him apart. Mark my words, he will never be even a decent player in the pro ranks (that includes AFL, UFL, CFL, etc.)
