I believe that most teams realize that Cam and Gabbett will be gone( in that order BTW) and they will rather take an elite prospect in Round 1 than a 2nd round QB @ 9, 10 or 11. I expect a third QB to come off the board @ 25.
Thanks Kevon. Truth is, I think this is probably my worst attempt ever. For some reason my heart wasn't in it like it normally is.

As to the QB's. I agree. One of my runs I did, I had 9 QB's gone by 25 and that was without trades.
I would agree with our friend Kevon that most people may be surprised by lack of teams reaching for QB's with 2nd round talent in the first round.
At least it appears he is saying there is a lack of elite QB talent and therefore only three will be picked in the top 25.

Do you take Locker at 12? Or do you hope someone with up side potential falls to you in the second round and bring in a veteran. You have to bring in a Veteran either way.

Lack of teams. I guess it could be read that way. I, on the other hand read it (and believe) that the QB's will come off the board faster than most believe.

Again, the belief aoout this class is that there are 8 to 10 Franchise QB's in this class. Problem with them is that they range from 1 year to 4 years to become that franchise guy.

Newton - 2 years but will start first year as the team will build the offense around him and let them both evolve together.

    Gabbert - 1 Year

    Locker - 1 Year

    Mallet - 1, Possibly 2 Year(s)

    Stanzi/Ponder - 2 Years

    Kaep - 2 to 3 years

If you don't take a kid at 12, you won't get one at 43 because you will have probably packaged your 12th and at least one more (we don't have a 3rd so it will probaby have to be our second) for the Vet you speak of (aka Kolb).

Just teasing Marrdro.. just please don't write out the selection cards for the Vikes.. else we'll be drafting a kicker in the first round

Green Bay with Ingram is worrysome.

He'll be able to take advantage of the loose boxes and penetrate deep into the belly of the defense

    (sexual innuendo intended)

Couldn't help but notice you were able to force the hands of the other GM's and get your DT in our slot.
BTW how did Fairley do in the senior bowl and other games against top competition? My signal is too slow to look it up this afternoon, and I don't remember.
And if you are going to run this draft get Dareus for us for cryin out loud.
Why must you defend everything this FO does....to the point of making your self look like a yes man.

Played my friend....... On a side note, maybe not first, but if I had extra picks this year, I'd burn one on this cat about the 5th or 6th depending on how my board sat.

I'f been resisting putting him in there at 12 with every ounce of my being because everyone would think I did it cause of how much I love the bigs, but this isn't the case.

I think ultimately there is going to be a move above us to get someone that is going to cause him to get to us. That move, I believe is going to take one (or possibly both) of the other 2 I think might be worth taking here.....

Locker, Prince and Julio. That is of course based on Gabbert, Dareus and Peterson all go as well.

This is from CBS.com draft player analysis but echo's what most sites say about him.....

    2010 Season
Recorded 60 tackles, including a school-record 24.0 tackles for loss, with 11.5 quarterback sacks. Consensus All-American in 2010 and was named the Southeastern Conference Defensive Player of the Year by the Associated Press. In Auburn's BCS National Championship Game victory over Oregon, Fairley had five tackles including three for loss and a sack while garnering defensive MVP honors
Some other things I've learned about him.......Has been called a dirty player. Damn I like a little Nasty on the field.

Alot of the knock on him had a bit to do with him being lazy. He worked hard, lost some weight and seems to be more alert after the figured out he had sleep apnea.

Don't know about you, but you get me in a class room, after a workout, wihtout getting good sleep and I'm gonna look lazy as well.

Long story short, I'd rather have Dareus adn Phil Taylor, but not by much.
