I been watching these forums and going to draft sites.
One thing that pisses me off is everyone picking Brady Quinn for the vikings.
I love Brady Quinn and I think he is a great player.
My point probably will be mute since Browns will probably take him.
I see people picking Quinn,Jarrett,Ginn for us. They are good players but not what we need.
    Peterson would fit,Landry,Adams would fit.
We don't need a QB on the first day.
Alot of these people doing mock drafts must be on crack or something. They have
    us picking all these
    crazy players or
players in 4th or 5th round who proably be gone by the end of the 1st or second round.
Please people open your eyes and think before
    you write something
    down.
    Thanks
I think the problem is you are focusing completely on needs.
If you take a player in the top ten of a draft, then you should take the BPA, not focus on needs.
If there are no players that fit your needs at the #7 spot, then you try to trade down.
Unfortunately, trading down is easier said than done, and it is very possible that we will not be able to trade out.
    Therefore we choose the BPA.

The funny7 part is you don;t want to pick Quinn because you don't think he would fill a need, but you would like us to pick AP. LOL.
QB is more of a need than RB.

Quinn, AP, CJ, Thomas, Adams... I don't care who we pick up with the number seven pick, as long as it is someone who warrants it.
Regardless of need, they will help improve the franchise.

    Welcome, BTW.

    I think
    Oakland will pick calvin johnson,
Detroit will probably trade pick-Russell to whoever wants him
    Cleveland-quinn,
Tampa Bay pick adams or probably trade
    Arizona -thomas
    washington-okoye
    vikings peterson
    falcons-landry
    miami -brown
    Houston-willis
    there is my top ten

Im only saying if we pick peterson he can split time with taylor, if we pick quinn ,he wont be splitting time with jackson.
So my point is peterson is more valuable to us then quinn

IT seems as if you are making the assumption that Quinn would be put behind Jackson, which wouldnt necessarily be the case.

According to John Clayton the vikings will defidently take him if available, he went as far as to call it a gift. Its on a podcast at espn.com right if anyones interested in listening. Fact of the matter is no one can guarentee what happens in the draft.

I don't really want Brady Quinn but I can totally understand if we were to pick him. He is the big college player who is apparently "Pro-ready". IMO he would make fans show up for the games. Pre-season he was the clear #1 pick in the draft and until Jamarcus Russell (overrated) suddenly bursted onto the scene, almost all mock drafts had him going to the raiders.
    And Brady Quinn isn't.
Quinn is nothing but a young Joey Harrington.
I see Russell being far more productive than Quinn.
