NFL Insider 06 Draft Buzz

The following is an unofficial list of those third-year prospects who have made their intentions to leave for the NFL public, and a projection of what round they would most be selected at this point. They are all members of the junior class, with the exception of South Carolina RB Demetris Summers, who is a member of the sophomore class.
DE Mario Williams, N.C. State -- First
TE Vernon Davis, Maryland -- First
RB Laurence Maroney, Minnesota -- First
DE Ray Edwards, Purdue -- Second
RS/DC/WR Devin Hester, Miami -- Second or Third
DS Bernard Pollard, Purdue -- Second or Third
OT Willie Hall, Middle Tennessee State -- Sixth or Seventh
RB Demetris Summers, South Carolina -- Seventh or Free Agent
DE Michael Williams, Texas College -- Free Agent
WR Santonio Holmes, Ohio State -- First
TE Leonard Pope, Georgia -- First or Second
WR Greg Lee, Pittsburgh -- Second or Third

I want A.J. Hawk in the purple, hopefully he falls to us like Derrick Johnson fell last year

hopefully Vince Young will go pro. It will help push another player into Green Bay's position

Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing Hawk in Purple either!!!

wait, where are the Vikes picking? 17th?
I don't think Hawk or Williams will fall that low
you guys could be in position to draft Michael Huff, S/CB from Texas
he's another guy who I'd like to see on the Packers, but only if they end up trading down a bit. Huff isn't a #5 pick....not right now at least, but he still has the combine to impress

i would like to see us draft huff or another first round cb to take over at nickel back. as long as its not ahmad carrol!

uh, Ahmad Carroll played well this season. He just needs to stop getting flagged, but besides that, he did well. The real bust was Joey Thomas, luckily, the Packers cut him earlier in the season
