    Re: Next Seasons Projections

I know I'm not the only one on this board who thinks T-Jack would do OK if he just had a better offensive line and backfield blocking for him and another WR who could stretch the field. Maybe we'll fix that in FA or the draft. We'll have to wait and see. It really is to early to tell.
I don't mind Childress as much as Bevell and our special team's coach. But assuming we get no FA or anyone in the draft who is a starter and everything remains the same except a new defensive coach, I'll guess we win one more game than last year and go 11-5.

I haven't seen Jackson panic like some here think he does

Then take off your purple shades and watch the philly game again, or either of the first 2 games he started.

    8-8 with TJoke
11-5 with a vet QB, even Collins.
He says watch the Philly game...LoL. Don't act like that don't happen to other QB's including the ex SuperBowl MVP. Come on Son... Take off the Hater Goggles, you been wearing them so long its starting to leave imprints on your posts.

It would be nice to fine another playmaker at WR, not that Bobby Wade isn't a good football player but we need more Talent on the outside. I can't say enough about how Bobby performed this season, he's not the speedster but a very smart football player, a QB's best friend.

I think shoring up the RT position is a key offseason goal. Not that Cook didn't have some decent game but he was too inconsistent.

Obviously something has to be done about the guys on specail teams, this has to improve, hopefully Farwell is a start in the right direction.

I think next year we could do some very good things, most of the core players will be returing, it will be a totally different year, we'll get EJ back so thats sweet. I don't think anything less than 10 wins is really exeptable considering the amount of talent on the roster not to mentioning a whole offseasons work.

They could line up a half naked cheerleader to blitz TJoke and he wouldnt not only see her but have idea idea what to do with the ball....except backpeddle and hold the ball between his legs for someone to slap it away.

    Re: Next Seasons Projections

Wow, a consistent sort of poster has gravitated to this one.
    I LIKE IT.......

    Couple of things.......

    1.
This organization under Spielman has shown they like to make moves to make this team better.
In most cases those moves have panned out (Tapeh still has me wondering WTF).
No reason that they won't make some dramatic moves again this offseason as they continue to shape this team.

    2.
The ownership group seems to support Spielman in his efforts.
Unless they have given up hope on getting a deal done for a new home in MN they will open the purse strings one more time for that dramatic move.
I see this as the biggest indicator of what they will be thinking with respect to thier future in MN.
If the purse strings aren't opened it will cause me to think they are gonna cut expenses in anticipation of that move to minimize losses associated with the first few years of that move.

    3.
The draft class looks promising, however, this team really isn't gonna see a huge dividend from this draft.
As with last years draft, these young cats will be brought in only to learn from the bench as future replacements for aging vets.
A couple of them could see some significant time though if they are backing up a starter that goes down or is suspended for some reason.

Long story short, I just don't see how this team CAN'T get better.
Our FO is going into a 3rd/4th year working with the coaching staff.
We have a great Ownership Group and like it or not, the coaching staff for all its issues, seems to have a team that wants to play its ass off for them.

Shore up a couple of spots (C, S, Punter/KO specialist and possibly WR and RT) and I see no gaping holes as long as players step up in thier assigned roles.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

No, it's not. We'll have the same coaching staff and almost the same personnel.

It's funny that you think things will change so much that this thread is too early...
You can't tell me that you didn't have much higher hopes after the Allen trade, Berrian signing, etc from last season...
I can guarantee that your projections changed once that happened.
So our personnel will change and I think predictions will as well...
