I think this years draft will be a lot like the draft two years ago when we took Greenway, Griffin, Cook, and Jackson.

It won't make headlines like last year did with Adrian, but it will fill our one obvious hole (DE) and add depth in the rounds after that.

I think Griffin turned out fairly nice even though we had two high priced CB at the time in Winfield and Smoot, I think we may go that rout again in the second with possibly a OL,DL, or LB.

Hopefully we get a bit more value with our thirds and fourth. I would hate to see a bungle like the Cook and Jackson picks. (And yes I know both of them start now, but there was more value on the board and the time, and both, if we still wanted them, could have been had later.)
    Great post my friend.
Couldn't agree more with your thoughts on Cook, but I am not so sure on Jackson.

Even though I ping on Foley for missing on Clemens I am good with him taking Jackson. Nothing much left on the board after that.
Additionally, you have to keep in mind that at that instance in time they still had what most of us presumed was a decent Vet to hold the Fort down for at least another year or two.

That whole draft was just a mess if you ask me.
Although I am happy with the players we got, I really think Foley screwed the pooch on who/what/where he took guys.

I personnaly thought we would give Denver what they asked for to get Cutler or go for Clemens in the 2nd round if the asking price was to high.
I think Foley really believed Clemens would be there at 51.

If he would have taken Clemens (48) ahead of NYJ, Griffin at 51 and even Cook at 64 I would have been alot happier.

Still, TJ is gonna be a good QB in this league.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg
