My Vikings Mock ...Rounds 1 - 5
1st Pick- Maroney, We want Greenway but he does not slip to us...and after an impressive combine Maroney is our man!
2nd pick - Bobby Carpenter OLB Ohio State, After Hawk and Greenway he is the best OLB ...6'3 255lbs and a great fit for a cover 2 defense!
3rd pick - Jonathan Scott ,Tackle ,Texas, Big 6'7 and 315 pounds ...his technique needs to be refined a bit, but with his size and quickness it's a steal in the 3rd!
4th pick - Ryan Cook, Center, New Mexico Concerns about Birk's health we grab the big Center as insurance and to learn from Big Birk ...at 6-7 and 323 pounds he's very quick and one of the strongest line men in the draft.
5th pick - Mike D' Andrea, MLB, Ohio State, He falls to the 5th and we grab another Ohio State LB ...at 6'3 248 pounds he's quick and a better cover LB than most had thought this turns out to be one of the best Viking drafts of all time!
I am probably dreaming a little but it is possible ...Let me know what you think..I love your guy's input ...this site rocks!~ I BLEED PURPLE!! ~

Is a WCO coach going to be scared of drafting such big linemen.
Isn't it typical that the WCO have smaller linemen for better mobility. I wouldnever discount somebody for their size, if they can perform. It is just a thought.
I personally like the size myself.

From what I have heard Cook has almost as quick a feet as Ferguson...I know what your saying though about the WCO..I was just thinking if a center comes that big and that quick he would be a nightmare for a defense if he could pull?

Well I don't really know any of those guys except for Maroney. But I like us getting a backer in the second round. I'm all for that.

Re: My Vikings Mock ...Rounds 1 - 5
I figured with Greenway and Hawk gone we would go MLB in the second round ...but looking at who could be left for us it makes more sense to me to draft Carpenter who is the 3rd best OLB next to Hawk and Greenway.

I hear the linemen from the gophers are dang good and IMO we need to grab one somewhere in the first five turns.
