Interesting to look back at this.Remember this is a dream! Smartasses need not apply!
Free Agents:
Justin Smith DE
Asante Samuel CB
Randy Moss WR
;D or Bernard Berrian WR or Jerry Porter WR or Larry Fitzgerald WR
Todd Collins QB (backup)
Alan Faneca OL
Trades:
Larry Fitzgerald WR
Donovan McNabb QB
Draft:
Calais Campbell DE
OL for depth
LB for depth
All I can hope for now is a stud OT in the 2nd.

Anybody have a cookie?I did a real quick estimate, and I think it would be possible to sign all of these guys and fit them under the cap this year.
Here's how (player - years - total value - signing bonus - cap hit (year 1, year 2, etc.)):
Justin Smith -5 years -$40 million -$20 million bonus -ACTUAL: 6 years -$45 million ($7.5 million/year) -$20 million bonus
Asante Samuel - 5 years - $50 million $20 million bonus - ACTUAL: 6 years - $57 million ($9.5 million/year)
Randy Moss - 4 years - $50 million - $20 million bonus - ACTUAL: 3 years - $27 million - well, Patriots discount
Alan Faneca - 5 years - $40 million - $20 million bonus - ACTUAL: 5 years - $40 million - $21 million bonus
Todd Collins - 3 years - $10 million - $3 million bonus - ACTUAL: 3 years - $9 million - $3 million bonus
Larry Fitzgerald - 5 years - $50 million - $20 million bonus - ACTUAL: 4 years - $40 million ($10 million/year)
Anyways, we really could have afforded to sign all of these guys.
Shows you how you can work the cap.
I'm pretty happy with our offseason though.
A good OT or C in the draft would be a great finish.
Heck any good players in the draft would be nice.
I have a fragile ego, and such things keep me going in this unstable world.
That and beer. When the age of the Vikings came to a close, they must have sensed it. Probably, they gathered together one evening, slapped each other on the back and said, "Hey, good job." - Jack Handey [Deep Thoughts]

Re: My Offseason Dream
I didn't know where to put this so I picked this thread. I was a huge supporter of bringing in another CB last season. In fact Asante Samuel was my main target. It is almost ironic that he pretty much ended our season. Maybe people will listen to me this offseason about needing a great CB opposite Winfield. I know Zeus feels we don't need an upgrade.
