I would be very happy myself if both of your trade choices ended up on our team

If we cut a few guys - Williamson, Smith, Holcomb, etc. - we might be closer to $35-40 million.
I did a real quick estimate, and I think it would be possible to sign all of these guys and fit them under the cap this year.
Here's how (player - years - total value - signing bonus - cap hit (year 1, year 2, etc.)):
Justin Smith - 5 years - $40 million - $20 million bonus - cap 5, 6, 8, 10, 11
Asante Samuel - 5 years - $50 million $20 million bonus - cap 5, 8, 10, 12, 15
Randy Moss - 4 years - $50 million - $20 million bonus - cap 7, 10, 15, 18
Alan Faneca - 5 years - $40 million - $20 million bonus - cap 5, 6, 8, 10, 11
Todd Collins - 3 years - $10 million - $3 million bonus - cap 3, 3, 4
Larry Fitzgerald - 5 years - $50 million - $20 million bonus - cap 5, 7, 10, 13, 15
Donovan McNabb - 3 years - $20 million - $10 million bonus - cap 4, 7, 9
Okay, this might be an optimistic view of what the salaries might be, and it's completely guess work, but I think it's not totally unreasonable.
Assuming, of course, that the guys were available and wanted to play here.
That would put us at a cap hit next year of $34 million, which would be just about the space we have factoring in rookies.
But in year two that figure for these players jumps to $47 million, then $64 million in year 3, $63 million in year 4 (without either QB), and $52 million in year 5 with no Randy Moss either.
The other problem is that it's over $120 million in cash out to these 7 guys in one year.
There's a serious cash flow problem there.
But for 1 or 2 years, you'd be pretty talented.
Just an example of how you can fit people in and how it can come back to bite you later. When the age of the Vikings came to a close, they must have sensed it. Probably, they gathered together one evening, slapped each other on the back and said, "Hey, good job." - Jack Handey [Deep Thoughts]
