My FA & Draft wish lists

    Free Agency

    Julian Peterson
    LeCharles Bentley
    Adam Archuleta

    Draft

1st round - Since it looks like Culpepper's days are numbered in Minny, and Denny Green is ISO a decent QB, why not trade DC to the Cardinals for one of their starters and a pick (1st or 2nd). We could then package the #10 and #17 picks (and possibly O. Smith or Bennett) to a team that may not want to pay the big bucks for a high pick, then move UP into the top 10 or maybe even 5. We could then have a better pick of the litter to tend to our needs at RB (DeAngelo Williams), LB (AJ Hawk), or S (Michael Huff).

    Just my thoughts...

Dang it. I forgot Warner re-signed with the Cards. So much for the Culpepper trade idea there. Oh well...I'd still like to see the Vikes trade up if they get rid of Culpepper.

assuming we don't move up in the draft, is there any "franchise" quality QB's out there? Besides the top 3 of course. Because if DC is gone for a second rounder, we'll need a QB now to learn under Brad Johnson for the next year or two.

Also, what does the QB crop next year look like? Do we wait until next year? I think, since next year we'll be picking at #32, we should look this year. I just don't know who to get.

The Chargers are possibly letting Drew Brees test the FA market.. If that happens, I would lve to see Brees in Minny next season.. His shoulder is on pace to heal before the season starts. So let BJ start, and if he runs into problems bring in Brees for the long haul.

I've seen a # of Mock's that have Cutler falling to #16 to Miami. If that is the case and assuming DC doesn't go to Miami, do we trade ahead of Miami and take him? I haven't seen Cutler play, I've just seen highlights and heard what the TV guys has to say about him. Does he look that good on game day? Is this a good trade? I'm still an advocate of trading down, but if DC is gone we have to take a shot.
    Best scenario:
    DC to the Dolphins
    Cutler falls to #16
Dolphins pass on Cutler because of DC
We don't pick in time, Chicago trades everything to get to the podium and plays next year with Cutler and their front office suited up

    17. Santonio Holmes Jr. WR Ohio St.
Very good burst of speed out of his break.

Let's take a lesson from the lions, WR year after year is the way to go. Just like going coach to coach.
