Bills | Eight teams interested in Moulds
Fri, 24 Mar 2006 10:41:52 -0800
Frank Schwab, of the Colorado Springs Gazette, reports eight teams have shown interest in free agent WR Eric Moulds (Bills). However, Greg Johnson, Moulds' personal adviser, said working out a trade will be difficult because both the Bills and Moulds' new team would have to agree on draft pick compensation. The team would likely want to work out a new contract before trading for him as well.

He is a good player without a doubt but he is a bit too old. I would rather see us keep Burelson.
I agree.. Moulds is a great wideout, but Burly doesn't have the wear and tear that Moulds has.. Moulds would cost much more than Burleson, and it doesn't make much sense to let Burly walk and bring in a older guy for more money..

Re: Moulds allowed to seek trade
I could see him in Denver.
Denver wanted another WR, they looked at TO, realized it wasn't a good fit.
If the compensation and price tag is not to high, who knows.
I don't think that he ends up on the Vikings.
He is a heck of a WR, not quite top tier though.

Re: Moulds allowed to seek trade
I really think this guy would help us where Nate can not. We need a #1 in a bad way. Our WR core is very average imo. We need a playmaker that will make the clutch catches. How different would last season have been if k-rob would have caught that pitch by BJ rather than tipping it up for a stealer to grab? Alot of folks around here seem content with our par receivers and hope they step up, I would much rather grab a guy you know will come through when you need him. I also think this guy would be key to developing current & future receivers. And any QB will benefit with having a guy like this on the other end of his passes.

Eric Moulds NOT top tier??!! Wow, what kind of numbers does it take?? Anyway, we have pretty much spent our wad anyway. I would prefer Nate back as well. Just had to comment on "not top tier," sorry.

Re: Moulds allowed to seek trade
He is top-tier but this move is unnecessary for that price. We might as well match any deal for Burly for a lot less.

Talent aside, doesn't sound like he's a team player. He's another ME guy. Ain't gonna fly with new management.

Re: Moulds allowed to seek trade
He wants way to much money for his age, I would love to have him, but it is not worth the money
