Re: Most recent Vikings Training Camp updates...!
All right, I heard ya.
I got desperate to hear some News, and read my last "post"...I found some. General stuff at that
until later today when we hear some "on field" reports that I hope to read here.
How to deal with Training Camp injuries is going to be more interesting than ever in recent times.
With the newer, smaller 80 man Training Camp rosters more guys will have more reps. IF they can
stay healthy, and not get worn down that will be GOOD for the younger "on the bubble" guys.
On the other hand, it may make more people take reps when they are injured, and thereby
prolong their injuries. Just about all of these guys get beat up in Training Camp. A few others like
Ray Edwards coming in hurt, it will now mess with the "chemistry" more than ever.
Read this article from SI - Numbers game: Shrinking roster size having growing ramifications
Navigating the pitfalls of training camp is a numbers game for NFL teams, but this year a degree of difficulty has been added that has wide-ranging ramifications in the eyes of the league's coaches and personnel decision-makers: The new 80-man training camp roster limit. ... ( the link here )

* By the way, last year when the Vikings drafted Rufus Alexander (good player, ex-OLB Oklahoma),
it was my opinion that they brought him in just like usually happens when you bring in a new Superstar...an old friend for a guy like Adrian Peterson. I have not heard 1 word about him lately.
What do you hear about Rufus Alexander?

But he's in camp, battling with the likes of Erin Henderson for a backup slot.

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

As of 1PM CDT I did not find anything out there. Any first hand observations from Camp?
It's kind of like saying, "hey, I'm a lazy bastard and am interested in this topic and I want all you peasants to find information for me."

It sucks about Edwards.
Hoping for big things with him this year.
I think Mitchell is okay and Robison can be a beast once he learns the ins and outs of the position.

It screams "I'm important because I'm friends with some random dude I've never met who got drafted by the Vikings"
I feel bigger.
On a serious note...lets hope Edwards pulls out of this.
I don't want DE to be a position of concern already.

Five things to watch for as Minnesota Vikings training camp opens today
The quarterback still has to prove himself, and the newly acquired star has to make the defense better. Those are just two of the challenges as the Vikings open camp on a season of considerable promise.

Re: Most recent Vikings Training Camp updates...!
I am listening to the live practice on the FAN right now, and PA has been fooled on the play action TWICE.
He says that AD is running very well!
Love it!Zeus wrote:
When are you going to realize that picking out the 20 bad throws this year and ignoring the 300 good ones does not make your point?

Re: Most recent Vikings Training Camp updates...!
So far, all of the QBs have taken snaps under center.
Frerrotte was just lit up after holding the ball for about 8 seconds.
Bollinger is really selling the play action too.
I think he is really fighting for a roster spot, but he would need to be amazing to keep it IMHO.Zeus wrote:

Re: Most recent Vikings Training Camp updates...!
TJack has scrambled 3 times so far, for 24 yards.
Not sure what to think of this.
In Training Camp, I would like to see him finding his receivers.Zeus wrote:
