    Re: Moss & Rosenthal Update

Ill give it a fools arguement. I know it wouldn't work but out of college maybe he shoulda bin o-line.
He's the right size. Gotta be 300ish.
He can't catch, and tight ends sometimes do that.
He's a damn good blocker and thats all he does.
    Picks up blitz's well.

Knees definatly wouldn't hold up though your right. Do any of you actually know how to actually play o-line in a high level (college or anything) to prove that a player can't switch from blocking tight end to tackle. I know one of you can explain.

Is there any possibility that Klienny would or could play RG or T? I mean hes got to be big enough and strong enough. Would the learning curve be too much? I just think to moveing him to TE was a meathead move to make, i mean come on he was one of the top fullbacks in the league. Maybe Tice made him a TE so he could see how he could block from the line, and planned to eventually move him over. Did i just make myself look like a jiggly butt?
I don't think his body, especially his knees, could handle RG or T.
yah if it hasn't happened by now in his carreer it probably won't.
though i'm sure there's been cases of it being done late in players carreers.
some recent cases i think too but can't remember off hand.
    needlesstosay, it's probably unrealistic
Kyle Turley, a starting tackle for the Saints and Rams, was planning on switching to TE after he lost alot of weight to alleviate pressure on his back.
I think that he actually made a team as a backup TE, but ended up switching to tackle again because someone went down with an injury or something.

Someone have an article to back this up?

    Actually Kleinny has good hands.
As far as learning to play line I have an example for you.
Albeit not a great example but an example anyway.
In high school I played WR and DB.
I was one of only 2 people on the team that new how to long snap.
Therefore I had to do that for 2 games when our starter there went down.
It wasn't very fun as I was 150 lbs going against guys 75 - 100 lbs heavier than I.
I'm not trying to compare here but I do have insight of the situation.
I can tell you it's not easy.
I did my job and I may say pretty efficiently.
However it wasn't something I wanted to do full time.
I can't imagine at this point in Kleiny's career he'd want to or could move to be an olineman.
Especially being as undersized as he is.

i'm pretty sure it was a denver tight end who actually pull off the move.
i dont know if carlise was a tight end before moving to guard, or if dewayne carswell made the move just recently.
but im pretty sure it was a denver guy who made the move and made the team.
    don't think he started though

yeah he was probably in during goal line formations.
Why would we even consider putting our only good TE into a position he would suck at?

Guard is arguably the easiest position in all of football. It is possible, but I doubt they would do it. I still think Hutch at RG would be a good move.
If you promise to be smarter, I will promise to be nicer.

My posts are worth 6 of yours.
