Mock Draft on draftboardinsider.com

Check out this mock draft from draftboardinsider.com

They have us picking Vernon Davis TE from Maryland. What do you guys think of picking Davis if he is available? Personally if this is how the draft goes and we pass up on Chad Greenway i'll be upset but Davis is supposed to be the next Antonio Gates!

That's actually one of the worst mocks I've seen so far.

Jonathon Scott over D'Brickashaw...

Charles Gordon, Jeremy Trueblood, and Hank Baskett will not go in the first round... Mercedes Lewis and Derek Hagan have fell quite a bit.

It hasn't been updated in a while though, so that could be the problem.

I'll pass on Vernon Davis. He's going to be an excellent player, but nowhere close to our biggest need (and there's a pretty good chance he won't be avaliable anyway).

Yeah, I agree. It was about the worst mock that I have seen but who knows how it could go. Anyways I was more looking at what everyone would think about drafting Vernon Davis? I'm sure that he will go in the top 15 but I've seen stranger things.

what a joke IMO..we have much bigger needs than TE..and since our TE wiggins has led the team in receptions 2 straight years, and makes bigger plays than anyone else on this team, TE is not a concern whatsoever..id be much happier if we traded williamson to houston for domanick davis, and then drafted an O Lineman with the 15th pick..and then we could go LB in the second round..culpepper is coming off knee surgery, and davis would be our premier back..that would give us all the reason in the world to A) protect daunte from getting hurt again, and B) give davis some real nice running lanes..not to mention we have plenty of cash to sign a real solid RT or else LG, and if we fill one of those holes in FA, then draft someone to fill the other void..Winston Justice would be a nice replacement for Rosenthal, therefore johnson can move back to his natural spot at RG

We would never take a TE first this year...........Not with JK and Wiggins in place...

Just don't see it happening..

there was a huge topic on veron not too long ago. i cant remember what the outcome was, but i dont feel we need another TE anyways. unless we run the 2 TE set more often.

are we even going to keep Jimmy K? I've heard several things about him "not being in our future plans" and he didnt look like much more than an overpaid former impact player.

unless were gonna start running some sets with 2 TE's AND a FB, i see no need whatsoever for another TE, but then again everytime i simulate a draft in madden the vikes always pick a TE first round. mabye its a sign, probably not

We dont "need" a TE, but Veron is a playmaker....and would instantly help out this team. I wouldnt be mad if we drafted him, I'd be very happy...do I think we will and should we? Probably not, we got a couple weak areas we need to fix.

Horrible. Don't get me started on this V.D. crap again. If i'm taking a TE just for offense which is what V.D. is, I take Mercedes Lewis over V.D. ... then again, I take Greenway at LB long before any TE ... just for starters. Very bad mock ....
