this video is of him in college. he looked like he played that S position like a Tampa-2 S would.

I like Mike Doss, it was a pretty good pickup

We may be deeper at the saftey position then any other team in the league. He was a good pickup even if we didn't really need him in my opinion.

I am reasonably excited about this pickup.
Depth in the secondary should help alleviate some of the issues we had defending the pass last season.

The secondary was not to blame for our pass D last year.

Doss is a very solid player and he can defidently put a hurtin on someone, I just question whether we will get to see him do much of that with the bottleneck we have at the SS position.

I would agree with you if you had said they were not primarily to blame as I realize that the non existant pressure on opposing QBs was the main reason for the issues, but the secondary did have at least something to do with it and with that being the case any help will be appreciated.

yeah I scratched my head on why the Vikes signed this guy,with Sharper,Smith,Blue,
Williams & Doss I would say barn none any tandem you put back there is gonna be dynamic
