Re: Might as well start lookimg at receivers
brad smith outta missouri will be able to make the QB to WR transition better than matt jones..itl be interesting to see who decides to take a long look at this guy..id compare him to randle el with more size, speed, and strength
People who see life as anything more than pure entertainment are missing the point.

Re: Might as well start lookimg at receivers
Why would we waste a pick on a WR pool that is short on talent when we have 3 former 1st round picks?

Re: Might as well start lookimg at receivers
I just think he will pick one up and mold him into the WCO. Probably in the 3rd or 4th round. Koren is good, Troy is unproven but has potential, Travis has been an historic underachiever, and Marcus Robinson is getting long in the tooth. Our best receiver Burleson is gone by the way. Not saying it's 100% gonna happen...it's just an opinion on what I feel.

Yah Burly really showed his stuff last year .. get over it, we have enough depth at this position already.

Re: Might as well start lookimg at receivers
Even after the first four receivers, we already have some intriguing prospects for our fifth receiver:
Hoag (recently resigned -- loved him last year)
Jones (practice squad last year as an undrafted rookie -- heard great things about him but he was buried on the depth chart)
Hosack (supposedly doing very well in NFL Europe)
Kight & Redmond (don't know much about these two)
I wouldn't be opposed to drafting a received in rounds 5-7 to give a chance, but I think there are much more pressing needs to be addressed in the first four rounds (QB, OL, LB, DB).

Re: Might as well start lookimg at receivers
I hope Hoag makes the team this year. He looked really proimising last year in the preseason. This would be a bad year for drafting a WR and we have other needs to fill.

Taylor came from BALTIMORE...you know, the place where Receivers go to DIE. He came from an anemic offense, HE wasn't the problem there.
Koren is showing GREAT upside.
Marcus, while getting older, can still go up after balls...which seems to be all we ask him to do.
Burleson did NOTHING last season...even when healthy. No way was he our "best" receiver...Taylor played that role all season long, and I'll bet Koren takes it up a notch this season. Burleson was a good receiver among good receivers.
That said, the only way we pull a receiver in the draft is if he is the best player available when we come on the clock.

We could take a WR in the draft this year but it probably would be until the 4th or 5th round.
