    McNabb.

    Then sign Randy Moss.

    Then sign Suggs.

I also hear Bob Lurtsema was going to suit up again.
It will be interesting to see what they have up their sleeves this year though.

Browns | Anderson received three-year deal

Updating a previous report, Tony Grossi, of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, reports the Cleveland Browns are believed to have offered QB Derek Anderson a three-year contract proposal.

The price for either of these guys is far to steep. It's Tarvaris's ship now. We need to get a solid veteran back-up, and let either Bollinger, or Holcomb go. But we have many pressing needs that superseed losing draft picks for McNabb. This upcoming season will be make or break for both Childress and his QB Tarvaris. I believe T-Jack will be even better this year with the addition of a true number one reciever. We are building through the draft and giving up a 1st and 3rd round pick is far too steep a price, of course if Bench Warmer Bob Lurtsema were to become available........ :-X

I want Mac-5 in purple next season. T-Jack back to the bench, and learn some more.

Yeah, a 1st rounder is too much to give up for McNabb... and Anderson only had one good year; I'm not sure that justifies giving up what would be necessary to get him (RFA with the tender he'll get, a 1st and a 3rd), etc...

I'd rather have McNabb, but there's no way we should give up a 1st rounder for him.

Don't be surprised if T-Jack is still the starter next year.

Re: McNabb or Derek Anderson ?

I can't see them looking for a "starter" at this point.

So what is the price you pay for a quality backup??

I think a 3rd rounder is pushing it....

Gee, ... do you think maybe Childress would want to coach McNabb ?
    :
    Those "sources" are just speculating.
Anderson has reportedly been offered a contract, and there is no indication that McNabb will be traded.
That is about as solid of a rumor as the "Fitz to Minny" rumor.

Although I wouldn't mind either one if the opportunity presented itself.

You know, I just don't see it that way.

I for one believe that this owner wants stability throughout the organization as they build towards the future and is willing to suck up a couple of years with growing pains.

The Chiller will at least get through his original contract.

Sure, if TJ struggles and the team doesn't win the SB the local hacks and internet web sites will be going beserk calling for his head but again, stability is the answer and I think the only one that matters (The Owner) knows that.

Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg
