Thread: McNabb or Derek Anderson ?

According to "sources" the Vikings may go after either QB Donovan McNabb, or Derek Anderson in the offseason.

Comments ?

As long as it doesn't cost too much to get him.

Got a link for this fresh exciting question that has not been discussed on here more than 500 times? By the way ... Derek Anderson's agent and the Browns have already hashed out a three year contract as reported more than a month ago ... there is a little ironing out to do ... but more than likely he will be staying put. He is looking for six years, but the browns will franchise him
... and it would cost us a first and third.

What about McNabb ?

I would like to think it would be great to have either qb.
But at what cost?
I think its time to gamble with what we have in TJack.
But we need a better backup (vet or second rounder type).
But if we could get Mcnabb or DAnderson for a small price that would be cool.
But that would mean NO first rounder in any circumstances.

If it cost us a first and a third I would not want McNabb. We need those picks to either add depth, or make long term solutions for holes we have in our team (S, DE, WR). If Tavaris does not work out next season, everyone will have more experience. Then, we could at least be in a situation where we could plug a QB in into an easy system where he won't have too much work.
