    Re: McCown is gone...

No Joey!!! The guy couldn't get it done in Detroit when he had a great stable of receivers, a quality TE, and a decent running game. After seeing him play a few games, the kid just makes bad decisions on the field.

Too bad about McCown. I thought he could be pretty good with us. The only other person I'd like to see us bring in would be Shaub. I'd be happiest, though, if we were to draft a quality QB and let him sit behind Brad for a year.

    Re: McCown is gone...

I think Joey would make a good asset to our team. He did not have the right coaching in detroit and i do not feel it was all his fault, Garcia couldnt do the job either. Hes young and talented, I would love to give him a shot in Minnesota. There was always something happening in Detroit with the offense and or changes in coaching staff, how could any one be expected to thrive in detroit. Look at the WR core they have.....Great talent but not a lot of prodution, maybe its their fault to and they should be labled as inferior talent?

I think Greise found his niche as a journey man at best, I like the guy and mabe a shot at the job but I am not too sure about him. Joey or Schaub feels better.

They don't have a lot of production because they don't have a QB who can deliver them the ball.

I have to disagree with all you guys saying Joey didnt have good coaching in Detroit. He had one of the greatest QB coaches of all time helping him out, Steve Mariuchi, even though he had a tough couple years as head coach he has helped several great QB's win championships.

The whole system was at fault starting at the top, No one could thrive in that place..It felt as if the GM was really doing the coaching from behind the scenes and when anything went wrong it would be easy to blame the coach. It happened to every coach under his reign

Seeing they signed mcCown i wonder if they are going to target another position in the draft, almost all the teams that were in the quarterback hunt of the draft have filled the spot. Maybe we could see one of the top three qb's slide to the 17th pick now.
