    McCown is gone...

    Thu, 16 Mar 2006 09:37:51 -0800

Len Pasquarelli, of ESPN.com, reports the Detroit Lions have signed free agent QB Josh McCown (Cardinals) to a two-year contract worth $6 million. The deal will pay him $4 million in 2006 between his signing bonus and base salary.

Wow the Lions are really stacking up on QB's this year. Probally not a bad thing for them to do considering there string of bad luck, especially Joey Harrington. That guy had such high hopes too and he just can not handle the pressure it seems, he shows signs of greatness for like a quarter then he just falls apart. The Lions are a great team though if they can stay healthy, thats the key.

The Lions are looking good at the QB slot, they have enough #1 receivers too. It will be interesting to see how this works out, it's been a long time snice they have had a team that even had a chance.

They have potential if they get rid of Harrington

Kitna,McCown? IMO thier nothing but back up superstars. Kitna isnt all that good. Not to mention hes pretty old. I dont see the lions QB core any better then last year. Plus its the Lions, they always find a away to suck.

Theres NOTHING greater then a Florida Gator!

Now all they need is an entire offensive line to keep their QB off the turf.

Speculation is that Harrington will be cut today or tomorrow and that was coming before the signed McCown.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.

    Well Whoopety-Doo....

He's gonna be replaced by another garbage QB in free agency that goes by the name Joey Harrington....so really, nothing left the free agent pool...

I hate McCown anyway, he screwed us a couple years ago...he and Nate Poole can stay the fluck away from the Minnesota Vikings!

Anyone think that Harrington will catch on with another team (not the Vikes I hope) if he gets released?
