Time for a positive story to counteract all the negative ones out there.

Next weekend, Vikings third-round draft pick Marcus McCauley, the former Fresno State standout cornerback, will become the first person in his family to earn a college degree.

He will graduate from Fresno State on May 19 with his degree in sociology.

McCauley actually finished the requirements for graduation in December 2006, when in his final semester his grade-point average was a perfect 4.0.

The Vikings knew they drafted a good cornerback; they're also getting a good person.

I saw this earlier on NFLN.

It seems like they picked a really intelligent guy in McCauley. It's always nice to have a guy with a good head on his shoulders. A 4.0 GPA doesn't necessarily scream the "next Pacman".

Just the semester GPA was 4.0, so keep that in perspective!

Lord knows I haven't achieved a 4.0 in any semester yet.

Good to see there are some well rounded good players out there.

Maybe he can knock some sense into Pacman and Pothead................................nah, I don't think so.

I saw Adam Schefter report this on NFLN.
I don't know much about the guy but I heard when healthy he could be a good ball player.
I think I read somewhere he was injured in 2006 and it affected his play or he would have been selected earlier.

Come to think of it does everyone else hate when analysts say "...he could or would have went earlier if it weren't for.........."
If that was the case everyone would be a 1st or 2nd rounder. ;D

Anyway, glad to see positive stories out there.
I look forward to seeing wat the man can do.

I have seen a few diffrent lists for teams with the best draft and I have seen minnesota in the top 5 a a few of those diffrent lists I am just hoping that The Vikes gput up some wins and start turning this club in to the raping and pillaging army it has the potential to be.
