    Re: Maurice Hicks Released

Good riddance, and I hate Maurice Hicks! We need a guy like Jeremy Maclin. He can do it all, return kicks/punts, and catch the football. He has NFL speed, although not very big, but we need this special player to our offense to immediately upgrade our WR corp. I hope Childress and company take Maclin if he is there. If not, look to replace Birk or go elsewhere in the first round.

I just don't understand how people think us realeasing an unneeded back would make us draft a WR

We won't roll with just 2 backs guys

And just because he returned doesn't mean he was our primary returner this year

And if we were to draft a WR im sure we would cut a WR

The Vikings waived running back and kickoff return man Maurice Hicks this morning after he spent only one season with the team. Hicks joined the Vikings as a free agent last March after spending four seasons with the San Francisco 49ers...

    Thank you.
That was such a waste or a signing and roster space.

We have some guys already on the team that I think if given a chance woudl make solid KR. They just need to play consitantly, Reynaud, Allison, and Jaymar Johnson, I think would do a decent job. Both Allison and Teynaud shows some potential and Johnson just needs to get his feet wet.

Agreed, move Reynaud up to the REAL squad.
He was a dangerous player in college, and with the performance of our kick return game, hes an immediate upgrade without having to spend money elsewhere.
