    Re: Marvin Harrison To Minnesota?

Marvin Harrison would be a solid 3rd down receiver. I don't see it happening plus his knowledge on running routes teach somethings to the younger players could be very beneficial for them.

IMO I don't care for anyone on the current roster except for Harvin, Berrian, Rice, and Wade. Marvin would be a decent pickup and an upgrade over any of those other 7. Remember what Chilly and Spielman keep repeating. There is no doubt in my mind they are discussing this. If it happens great, if not, it is not a big deal.
    Agreed.
Some people need to let go of the fact that these guys are Vikigns, and look at them as players.
Is Marvin harrison better than Reynaud, Johnson, Moore, Perretta, Williams, Holt and Allison?
    Certainly.
To say otherwise is a huge purple bias.
Is he better than Wade and Rice?
    Yup.
Berrian you can make an argument, since Harrison hasn't played a full season in a while, and Harvin needs to prove to us that he's eitehr great or not before we can make judgement on him.
I would take him over anyone for our #5 spot, probably even 4.
The only reason he's not a hands down #4 for us is because he'll only be here a year.
I don't want to give up Wade, toh ave Harrison for only a year, if he even plays.

Marvin Harrison 4 years ago yes,
Marvin Harrison today is very debatable. IMO

Walters reports under the “Don’t Print That” portion of his column in the St. Paul Pioneer Press that there’s “buzz” that the Vikings “might” sign receiver Marvin Harrison to a “one-year, low-end deal” to provide competition for Sidney Rice.
    http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/06/25/marvin-to-minnesota/
Charley Walters is a fucking moron.
So, anyone that reports what he writes must also be a moron.
Just out of curiosity, why is he a moron?
Well, because he's wrong a lot and will write whatever rumor he hears.

    =Z=
Isn't that what he is supposed to do? PFT.com is a rumor site if im not mistaken. So if he reports rumors he really isn't an idiot.

It's also reported under the "don't print that" section, which should be a pretty big clue that it's basis is probably little more then speculative at best.
Something fun to ponder more than anything.

It would be purely learning by example, apparently Harrison doesn't really talk to any of his teammates. The guy's a little crazy from my understanding.

    Re: Marvin Harrison To Minnesota?

Let's hope this thread doesn't get to 400+ pages of absolute nonsense. This will not happen, Marvin Harrison should be considering retirement, because no one wants him. We have 4 solid WR's on our roster, no need for Harrison. This thread has already gone 3 pages of nonsense. We don't need anymore of this garbage. Just some rumor some idiot reported. Let's talk about reality and get out of that fantasy world...

The same thing was said about Favre. I wonder how that turned out.
