    Question for you marrdro.

If Robison is more powerful than Jayme, Robison makes the better LE correct? Because we all know Brob has the better explosion and motor.

It's not size we want. It's the ability to take the TE and beat up on smaller weaker tackles(RT), that comes down power. Does it not?
    Still waiting ;D.
    Sorry my friend.
I thought I replied to you.

Again, I just don't see how a smaller guy can standup to the beating he will take at the LDE side if he is about 15 to20 lighter than the typical size.

Lets not forget that typically (Base offense against Base defense) teams line up with a TE on that side so the DE has to take on more beef (RT/TE) were as the RDE usually faces the LT/RB.

    I didn't forget.. lol

My argument was that if he's stronger with more explosion doesn't that mean he plays bigger? How they take the beating falls on the individual sure size helps but it's not the determining factor. How did John Randle play against guards and centres?
Because Jayme is bigger doesn't mean he can take more reps.

LOL, great point but Randle (I love the guy to death) really didn't play against the behemouths called OL that our guys face today.
Heck I see TE's in the league now that are bigger than OL back in the day.

Everyone seems to be getting bigger, stronger faster etc at all positions to include the OL. That then equates to the same formula on the other side of the ball.

    Re: Marrdro's Roster Analysis

Based on what I percieve as the staffs desired number of players at each position, here is what I think will happen.

    Key Note:
Players listed contain returning Vets, FA signed, Draftees and Players invited for tryouts.

A couple of rules to live by:

    a.
    Roster limit is 80.
    Currently we are at 92.
    b.
I am not sure but I believe the practice squad can't be bigger than 15.
    Decisions are based on that.

Re: Marrdro's Roster Analysis (New Roster Analysis Added)

I believe the practice squad contains of 8 players..

With 5 recievers on the team, i would be surprised if not one of the "cuts" makes the practice squad, i would put my money on Filani, Nate Jones or Reynaud..

I think I just typed in the guys from different articles or something.
Might be the reason I had Surrency on the original analysis twice.
Someone reminded me of it later.

    (Edit:
I had a senior moment and had Surrency on there twice.

Yes & no. Generally the limit is 8, but we can have 9.

We get an extra player (9) with Seppo Evwaraye. He does not count against the roster because he's part of the NFL's International Development practice squad program.
