Re: Marrdro's Mock Draft (First Round Only - Version 1)

Seattle could still go WR...Engram is old and gone, Deion is always hurt, Burleson is OK...adding a Crabtree to Housh and Deion could be a pretty deadly trio.
That said, they'll need to replace Peterson at LB, and could use some youth on the OL too.

IDK about Peria Jerry...of course, it is only one guys opinion, but check out these negatives...tells me PJ isn't Pat's replacement...

Does not have great size or bulk...frame is awfully close to being maxed out...not very strong or powerful...isn't real stout at the point of attack...
Can get pushed around in the run game!?!?????
    http://www.draftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/dt/Peria-Jerry.php

I think, for an eventual Pat clone, we need either bigger size to start with and/or the larger frame to add more muscle as he matures...

Ron Brace BC 6-3 334 lbs...now there's a guy who takes up space!
BJ Raji's partner and a candidate to move up boards.

Actually, I'd love one of these two in round two:

Fili Moala USC 6-4 305...now there's some frame with room to grow!
    Chris Baker Hampton 6-2 326
inbetween but with a better speed?
Control the line, control the time, and give your D a chance to shine!!

    Good work Marr.

If it plays out that way with the picks prior, I think you are right.
He would be the highest rated player on the board...looks like it anyway, according to scout.com.
Also, I think your comment is spot on with three CBs contracts coming due next year.
Vikes gotta go CB in the first two or three rounds.
CB is a deep position, as is WR, as is OL.
    DT is not.
    Logical IMO.

    Very nice

I would prefer getting Nicks and then Ron Brace

But Peria would be a solid pick up.. And probably BPA

No way we pass on Micheal Oher, or that he falls out of round 1.

We would be better off taking Laurinitus if he is available.

He is going to be a stud and he is a home town product. I would love to see him in his old mans face paint wearing the purple.

Now this is the input I am looking for......

I hear ya about his size, but I think he has room to grow.
Loved this scouting report on the guy.
Seems to be the norm for all the other sites I visisted.

    http://www.nfldraftdog.com/2009_NFL_Draft/Peria_Jerry.htm

Liked some of the stuff I read on Hood (as a second round option) but felt he was kindof a Combine wonder.

    http://www.nfldraftdog.com/2009_NFL_...ander_hood.htm

Liked the stuff on Brace but didn't look at Moala yet.
Still need to get into the second and third round before my mock really starts to take shape.

    Thanks my friend.
Way to early to think I have anything more that 2 or 3 right at this time..... ;D

    Gotta start someplace.
Still got lots of research goes into what the teams have done, might still do leading up to the draft.

I toyed with him several times my friend.
I just can't help but feel that we just don't have the depth at LB we really need.

Just don't know enough about the LB's in the later rounds yet to see if the value is there later but I am still tracking him.
