Marco Rivera???????????????

And guard Marco Rivera's future is in doubt because of back surgery.
Owner and general manager Jerry Jones said he wanted to meet with Rivera before making a decision. Rivera, the starting right guard the last two years, would count about $1.2 million against the salary cap if he is cut.
If cut by Dallas, would anyone be interested in adding Rivera for depth.
Not sure how he will come out of back surgery but IMO he wouldn't be a bad pick up especially since we don't have a lot of depth on the right side.

Dear God no.
I don't want to spend money on linebackers who fail physicals and guards who are cut by other teams after they have back surgery.

Re: Marco Rivera???????????????
yeah i wouldnt want him either...
Re: Marco Rivera???????????????
yeah is an older guy but still a good guard, I think if is was healthy after the back surgery back up to 100 percent I could see someone taking a chance on him.

But if he's at 100 percent, is that really "taking a chance on him?" The risk-reward factor only really makes sense if he's at a LOW price with the potential to come back. Someone would sign him if he was fully recovered.
Re: Marco Rivera???????????????
I'm for giving him a chance if we pay him in stale dome dogs, and has to clean the dome.
Re: Marco Rivera???????????????
If you are a GM, you have your medical guys look at the player...if they give him a stamp of approval, then you go from there.
IF Rivera is healthy enough to play, then he would give us experienced depth at guard...AND you know he would be fired up at least TWO times a year!
Re: Marco Rivera???????????????
Of course I was asking about taking him if he was healthy to play.
If he's not healthy it would be foolish to take him.
But if healthy I would think it would be a good pick up.
Re: Marco Rivera???????????????
Definitely. He could be a huge improvement over Hicks and a reasonable player to fill the hole for a couple more years.
Re: Marco Rivera???????????????
