And you know this because you have seen him play in a Tampa 2 defense? Just wondering why people think this.
Because people think that adjustments can't be made.

Anybody who thinks our defense would not be better with this guy on one side is simply out of their mind.

The scheme can be adjusted. Hell, Rex Ryan always ran more of a zone blitz type thing, but completely changed the way he did things to put opponents on "Revis Island."

Now ... the arguments that he is not worth the potential cap-hit and that he will be way overpriced, especially for his age, has some merit.
30 years old and in 14 games he allowed 13 completed passes his way. That is great for an old player if 30 is really that old.

Adjusting the scheme is a different conversation. I said his skills would be wasted in a Tampa2, which they would. If we were to play a more traditional 4-3, let Nnamdi play man, and roll a single safety to the other side while dropping a SS down in the box, Hell go get him.

Frazier does have experience running different wrinkles of D other than the T2 (like the 46D), but mostly thats what he preaches. Now I do remember Childo bringing Tomlin in because he was a T2 guy and then Frazier for the same reason. Maybe Childo didn't let Frazier get too creative on the Dside of the ball. Maybe Frazier would be open to changing up schemes having a whole offseason to implement something.

That being said though, having Nnambdi cover 15 yards off the ball from side line to hash mark is a waste of his talent because HE CAN run with a guy all across the field and take him out of the game.
