Vikings GM Rick Spielman insisted Thursday that there's no pressure to finalize a deal with LaDainian Tomlinson before he leaves team headquarters.
Spielman isn't bowing to the pressure put on by Tomlinson's agent, who scheduled a timely visit with the Jets on Friday. Tomlinson shouldn't expect a deal greater than Thomas Jones' two-year, $5 million deal with the Chiefs.
I have a boner just thinking about what are offense will be capable of.
As of this minute, I can say with certainty, that LT is still in town and still with the Vikings staff.

Tomlinson wouldn’t commit to the idea that he could possibly sign with the Vikings before leaving town, but he did acknowledge that his agent also is in Minnesota. We’ll see if he makes that second visit.

With that comment, it sounds like he will definately be visiting the jets come tomorrow. He's going to go where ever the money is best.
No doubt money will play a big role in it. Also PT might be a little better in NY (though Greene is really stepping up now).
I do think he LOVES the idea of playing with Favre, AD and a team that is a real Super Bowl contender though after feeling like the Chargers kept coming up short and did not use him to his fullest.
I like our chances, but if the Jets are serious, then it could be a close one.

His agent is in MN because said agent is also Kevin Williams's agent.

Yep and I have a feeling the jets will make it happen. They need him more than we do.

Nothing wrong with him going to New York and seeing whats up.

I think we still have a strong shot at him. The problem is there is likely more PT in New York, though the money is likely to be very similar regardless.

"This is not the end of the world at all," ... "I'm not retiring and I'm very excited and I really believe I'm going to have that opportunity to win a championship"

I know he aint talking about winning a championship with the Jets.
