Here's another 5 star. This thread means squat. Either they are good or not. I still believe that EJ is a good linebacker. I think he might make the pro bowl this coming year. He is our best linebacker on the team by a mile.

just goes to show how bad these rankings are when it comes to the pros

look at some of the 5 star QB's
    http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=63&p=9&...24&rc=4&pid=10

or perhaps you'll remember the #1 ranked punter that year
    http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=63&p=9&...24&rc=4&pid=36

rankings like this mean absolutely nothing.

I believe EJ is a great LB, but he needs a great coach and the right system

    Thanks PurpleMafia

I have always liked EJ. He just hasn't had the right coaching. Hopefully this year he becomes the beast he was supposed to be. Dontarius was also supposed to be a monster for us, hopefully this year he and EJ can produce for us.
Four score and seven years ago, Brad Childress has brought upon this team, a west coast offense, conceived in San Francisco, and Dedicated to be a Kick jiggly butt offence. We are now engaged in an NFL season, testing weather that offense can get going or that our defense can long endure.

I think EJ will do well this year. I don't know if he has the speed to play MLB in the Tampa-2, I think he would be very good on the strong side. I'd like to see Thomas play in the middle like he did a bit in college and Leber on the weakside.

Leber would not be a good weak side linebacker he would be much better in the middle or the strong side. I'll just be interested to see which of our guys Childress thinks will be our starting mike LB.

Rankings don't mean squat.. But that still doesn't mean we don't want to discuss them!

After reading all this stuff EJ Henderson, and remembering how highly touted Dontarrious Thomas was coming out of Auburn, I think with good coaching they can become highly successful Linebackers. The problem is, and I'm guilty of this as much as anyone, we all buy into the hype that guys can be drafted and be starters from Day 1. Now I'm not saying that doesn't happen, but it's rare, and giving up on a guy because he wasn't able to start on Day 1 for another guy the following year is not a way to build a franchise and help players in the long term.

This being said, I'd love us to get another middle Linebacker, but I hope we can mould EJ into a beast.. It can only help the Vikes to have as many MONSTER linebackers as possible.
