Liwienski Restructures His Contract
New deal:
Veteran guard Chris Liwienski agreed to a restructuring of his contract, which had three years to run but has been reduced to a two-year deal. Agent Vern Sharbaugh declined to comment on any other details of the restructuring.
Liwienski, who lost his starting job nine games into last season, was scheduled to make $2.065 million this season in salary and bonuses.

Lets hope that the new coaches can help correct his "false start" problems.

Re: Liwienski Restructures His Contract
it's all about depth at every position.it seems like we're signing the second tier guys now i.e goodspeed, whittle and liwienski..next phase bring in the big guns...waiting for free-agency is killing me...

Re: Liwienski Restructures His Contract
he can still be a solid guard, he just developed poor techniques after his shoulder injury. and of course the false starts

Re: Liwienski Restructures His Contract
I'm glad he is still with us. Once he gets the false start penalties figured out (which I guess he already should have figured out) he'll be a good OL for us.

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!

good to see guys trying to help out the team. lets hope the lesser contract will somehow make him better on the field...

Re: Liwienski Restructures His Contract
Like someone said earlier in this thread, if he works on his false start problem then he'll be a pretty good OL.
The best part of my day is when I get down on my knees, with my head in my hands, and thank GOD for everything he has given me.

Re: Liwienski Restructures His Contract
does anyone know if Rosenthal is going to restructure his contract too? The moment his contract was signed 2 years ago I knew it was a mistake. I'd like to keep Mike around also but for a much cheaper price.

Thanks for the Sig LitlHarsh
