Thats what you gotta be worried about. You would think someone would be crazed about it, if they can't even stay clean for the biggest event in their life. What is the big deal?Would absolutly Love to have Harvin, if he didn't test positive at the combine...
I mean Moss smoked it and he panned out pretty gol 'darnit well for us until we traded him.
As long as he aint crazed about it like Ricky Williams, im fine with it.
Between the Injuries and the Pot Smoking I see two red flags, and how dumb and arrogent can you be to test positive? If all I'm doing is promoting a false conspiracy that Harvin tested positive I would be estatic to get him.
Harvin is a brillant talent, but Childress has said he would not be seduced by great athleticism if he's causing problems off the field. Most Employers don't want their Employies to be smoking pot, I think Childress is one and that causes a off field problem.
In the Harvin Conspiracy is true I say we can pass and still find a really good player that will help us toward our goals.

My favorite.
;D
[Comment From BB]
What percent say does Childress and Speilman each have in selecting a player?
12:23
Judd:
Spielman is the guy who does the year-round work on the draft but Childress has a huge say as well in how this works. Childress must decide if he and his staff can coach a player and even if Spielman loves the guy, if Childress says no then that player isn't coming here. Remember, Childress said last year he has final say of the 53-man roster and who makes the team.
;D
:
You claim all the time that Spielman has the ultimate say in the draft. IMO that is incorrect and so does Judd, whom has more contact with the FO than anyone here.
:-[ in his next post.
Serisously though, do you really think that Judd is a credible source?
Hell I posted a link to a direct quote from ole Ricky boy and you guys discounted it with no credible justification. Why should I dane to adress this miniscule quote especially when it comes from one of the sports hack yutz's in MN? :
Judd is more credible than anyone here.
That quote says nothing that you posted. The only thing it says is...
So how does that prove your point? That’s why I said we do this as a whole ... everybody gets to weigh in their opinions and we decide what’s best for the organization and we’ll go from there
:
Chilly and Spielman are both decision makers.
My guess is they either read the scout article or the link I made with the scout article info in it and even then, he still got it wrong.

Throwing another log on the fire... ;D
http://myespn.go.com/blogs/nfcnorth/0-10-111/Video--Vikings-draft-needs.html
In this vid, Seiffert says that the ultimate decision belongs to Speilman during the 15 minutes on draft day...
I do think that Mars has it right though - both Spielman and Childress are responsible for the decisions.
Just like every other organization in the world, one person may sign the paperwork, but the actual decision making process belongs to a group of people.
For instance, in my company, I might not be the one who signs the purchase order, but you can damn well bet that I make decisions on some of the technical purchases...Zeus wrote:
When are you going to realize that picking out the 20 bad throws this year and ignoring the 300 good ones does not make your point?
