He would be a great guy to have, but I think instead of moving Griffen to nickel, hell move Winfield to safety and have Sheppard and Griffen as our dbs.
Winfield has never played safety & is our best CB. Griffin on the other hand has played the safety position.

I just think that Winfield is such a great tackler, that he would be able to switch to safety and we could leave the younger guys out on the corners, that's all. Griffin IMO is really coming along nicely as a corner.
With the way McCauley played when the regular season started, putting him out on the corner would still give Winfield plenty of opportunities to make tackles.

I actually think Gordon has a lot of promise.
If it's the same guy I'm thinking of, that is.
Didn't he play for the POS, aweful, ugly, hideous, useless and pathetic Jayhawks of KU?
If it's the same guy, I think he's got a lot of upside.

Griffin has played both corner and safety at Texas, and could project at either position at the next level. He's athletic enough to play corner, and tough enough to play safety.

    Re: Lito Sheppard

i think griffin belongs at safety, and we need a successor for sharper anyways..griff can fill the backup safety role/3rd corner role while we get to have a absolute elite couple of starting corners in sheppard and winfield
People who see life as anything more than pure entertainment are missing the point.

I'm glad our coaching staff understands developing youth, and don't sign every big name that comes up.
    ;D

    I love you chili!!
Oh and the coach is great too.
