Hey, call me crazy but i really think if we can't trade up to get CJ we should trade down and pick up Sidney Rice from South Carolina. He isn't the fastest guy in the draft, but I think he probably has the best hands.
    Heck yah.
They can surgically put his hands on TWill.
Then we will have speed with hands!

There would most likely be no organ rejection either, since they both went to South Carolina!

Who's the fastest outa all of 'em?

My impression is that Ted Ginn Jr is, we'll have to wait for the combine to come though.

Reason I wanna know why is, won't Childress go for the fastest guys over anything else?

That's at least what I think he's doing with the tight ends. Why else would Wiggins not be used more often?
I could be very wrong though.
    ted ginn jr.=troy williamon

they are almost exactly the same except ginn is a better punt and kickoff returner
And significantly faster, with better hands, runs better routes, and better body control.

There is really no comparison between the two. Troy is what the organization though would be a quick fix to the loss of our deep threat, the best deep threat of all time, but that was clearly wrong. We should have taken Derrick Johnson, and never traded Moss.
We wouldn't have gotten Johnson without the Raidahs pick...BUT we would have still gotten Matt Jones with our second first rounder...who is still better than Williamson!

Eric Fowler from Grand Valley State is a late round sleeper.
He broke all sorts of records formerly held by David Kircus, but is a much better pro prospect than Kircus ever was.
Maybe he's the next Marques Colston?

Does anyone miss Hitstick or Napo58 or whatever his name was and his Vernon Davis man-love threads?

I say if we don't get CJ we pass on a WR with the first pick.
Gonzalez would be a good possession type receiver with our 2nd round pick.
Its just no one outside of CJ strikes me as a sure thing at the next level.
There is an upside to all of them (Ginn, Jarrett, etc...), obviously (they are all 1st round projections) but it seems like a big risk.
I do not want another fast player who can't catch.

    Exactly!!!

We could just go with a QB that can throw the ball 50+ yds off his back foot (Ron Mexico) and a fast WR that can't catch (TWill) and all buy jerseys and get drunk sitting on our miller lite blowup chairs while we complain about the new coaching staff and lack of a new stadium.

Derrick Johnson is overrated much better linebackers were available with the 7th pick and Derrick was taken before we would ahve drafted at 18, and I would rather have EJ in the middle than him.

Moss trade happened no changing that fact but we should have used that pick on somebody other than Troy!

Here are a few players that we could have had with the 7th pick other than Troy.

    Shawne Merriman
    Demarcus ware
    Antrel Rolle
    Carlos Rogers

Any of these players would have worked out better but hindsight is 20/20 but Troy was a reach at the 7th pick and we should have taken a receiver at the 18th pick or in the second round.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.
