Re: Lets put two and two together...
Why all of the hype over Vince Young. Isn't he just another "running QB"? Please, no more running QBs. Sure they add life to a crappy team, but it all catches up with them. What has Vick really accomplished lately?
So no Vince Young, pick a real QB. Get Williams, get rid of Daunte, and draft a QB for the long haul. Free Agency o line.

Totally agree. It is not rebuilding time, it is fill in the pieces and make a run for it time. I just hope the right coaching staff comes to town and the chemistry is right for this to happen.Trading DC for an unproven rookie that would take at least 2 probably 3 years to develop with the chance that he could turn out to be a bust anyways is just silly. Come on guys lets think about this. Look at the number of top QB's that have been drafted in the first round that havent lived up to potential. Why would we want risk all of this with the players we have right now. We dont need a complete overhaul or revamp of this team! we need to add a few players and thats about it!

That was the same thing I saw with Shefter and was referring to in my above post .... Doesn't sound too good for D.C. ..."vikesls" wrote:
Take this with a grain of salt:Ziggy seems to be his own man. Wants it HIS way. Drop Tice, get a new coach.... drop Pep and get some new blood. I don't think Ziggy wants to inherit a team, he wants to build his team.
Anything is possible now IMO.
Adam Shefter with NFL.com and NFL TA, said yesterday that one Viking Exec said that the chances of having Tice back were greater than having DC back.
With Tice gone, does that mean that DC is gone?
I hope not. I hope that was a reporter taking someones speculation the wrong way.
Maybe they were saying that Tice was the biggest DC supporter????
BTW, Sharper is one of their playoff reporters, that is cool. Look forward to seeing him more on the NFL TA.

Re: Lets put two and two together...
I would rather we traded a draft pick (3rd round) to Atlanta for Matt Schaub, he is going to be a very good QB and he has a very strong arm. He makes good decisions and he would be an instant starter instead of having to wait a couple of years Young to develop if he does come out!
Then we could trade C-pep for Ricky and a first and take a defensive player and O-lineman in the 1st round with our 2 picks! What we've got here is failure to communicate.

Re: Lets put two and two together...
I have said it before and I'll say it again: Ricky Williams is the last man on earth I would want playing for my football team. He is selfish, He's a quitter, and has no interest of being successful as far as a Super Bowl goes. All he wants is money.
