    Re: Which one?

Cutler is the best bet for the new WCO. I would take Cutler over Leinart, and Young. Young is to risky, and Leinart is 1 dimensional. I like Cutler because he can scramble, and has one hell of a arm. Leinart can read defenses, and has a great arm, but can't run that well. Young can run, but I am worried about his release.. So Cutler it is, and I think the Vikes plan on moving up to take him this year.

    Re: Which one?

I'd be OK with drafting a QB in the 2nd round, but if I had to pick one of the top three, I would take Cutler. Then Leinart, then Young in that order. But, honestly, if none of the top three falls to us at #17, I would be happy with getting Croyle or Whitehurst with one of our 2nd round picks.

    Re: Let's Make A Deal

Before reading this thread, I was sold on Leinart.. Now? Not so much.

If Cutler is more Favre-ish than Leinart and Young, as what is being said.. Then move up at (almost) all costs! PLEASE!

Otherwise, if he's gone early, then I say get a LB.

And what about this guy from Oregon? Mel Kiper seems to think we will grab him in the 2 round. Clemmon, I think his name is? Never heard of him til this week, now his a riser? Makes me think that our 1 for Shuab might be the best bet after all, and I don't wanna do that, but we NEED a good young QB that pick up the reins next year.

    Re: Let's Make A Deal

I would not mind making a deal ... but it is still so hit and miss whether we go after any of the "big 3" or if we take a shot with Jacobs, Clemens or Croyle ... or if we make a move on Schaub ... none of these guys are proven and all have scary down side possibilities.
I think of the whole crew Leinart is the safest bet ... but not worth what we would have to give up ... I like the possibility of Clemens in the second while still nabbing one of the LBs in the first ... much better than giving up that LB for Schaub.

I agree. I LOVE Schaub, but for the 17? Get the LB. Get two LB's. Get 3. If Zygi is serious, he'll step up next year when Schaub is a FA.

Intersting how Clemmons has replaced Whitehurst, BTW.

    Re: Let's Make A Deal

I think our biggest need is LB as well. If I had the choice, that's what I would take. However if the team is looking at the QB aspect in the 1st round then I would much rather trade the #17 to Atlanta for Schaub than to trade our 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and whatever for one of the rookies
