I see them bringing in a guy like this to fill Memo's spot, however, I really believe they will draft one of the many good RB's in this draft to do the same thing as well as act as a possible replacement for CT if he decides to go someplace else in a couple of years.

A rookie costs less than a FA by the way.
    ;D
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

those 1st rounders are starting to get paid more than people that have proven themselves for years... like Larry Johnson at first holding out for "LT Money", until the draft, then holding out for "Adrian Peterson type money"

And as 1st round money does keep getting out of hand, I'm waffling on trading a 1st round pick for an extra second & a later round or two, unless there is someone there you definitely want to have.

I'd be curious to see what/were we stand with respect to CAP now after the 3 signings.

Additionally, I've searched but can't find it anywere, I would like to see what a rookie class cost a team last year drafting at 17.

Thanks, thats not really what I wanted though.
I am looking for what it cost to sign all thier players in that rookie class, not just the 17th pick.

I think that we rather should go out and draft a late returner/RB. Who knows we could lucky and get the next Hester.

Someone like Anthony Alridge would make sense. Ran 4,36 at the combine and is described as return specialist.

Would be cheaper and might have bigger upside.

    Thank to Lotza

    That sounds good to me.

I talked to a friend of mine (9ers fan), he says that Hicks is alright at returning, without being spectacular. He gets the job done routinely, but we shouldn't expect many going all the way for TD

Thanks to PPE for the sig.
