Despite limited opportunities on the field, Folk made the most of his time off of it. During the course of the week, he met with representatives from the New Orleans Saints, Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears.

we have longwell already so i don't see us going after him unless they want to use an extra roster spot on a kickoff guy.

When you have a kicker who can't place the ball into the endzone or around the 5 YL consistently & with some decent hang time on kick-offs, I can see where he would definitely be worth a look see.we have longwell already so i don't see us going after him unless they want to use an extra roster spot on a kickoff guy.

I thought I remembered hearing that Longwell did not impress alot of people last year and they might look at other optionswe have longwell already so i don't see us going after him unless they want to use an extra roster spot on a kickoff guy.

I thought Longwell had a pretty good year last year. I thought he was the best kicker we'd had in a while at least.
I wouldn't be sad if they looked at someone else though, especially for kickoffs.
Sign him up!

Sign him up and make him Longwell fight for the job.

Unfortunately we have Longwell under contract till 2011 but his only bonus is a roster bonus so its all good.
Last year he was 21/25 for FGs.
Missing his two 50+ attempts.
Mediocre.
I know Tice was against having two specialized kickers but I can see BC being different.

i'm not sayin that Chill wil, or should, but the two extra gameday active players makes carrying a kickoff specialist more of a viable consideration than it would have been last year.

"He made 15 of 20 field goals, posted a 44-yard punting average and produced touchbacks on 31 of his 49 kickoffs" So he is pretty versital and could fill in as an emergency Punter. Maybe he can go drop kick on a FG just like Flutie did last year
