I also say dump Udeze, he hasn't done much since being with us, would free up some cash to help bring Kerney here.

I agree Udeze has not banned out and had enough chances
I was hoping we would get Jerod Allen Or Kerney.

**If I would have read page 2 I wouldn't be embarrassed by what I just said**

I don't think there is any possibility that we get him.

Though I do think we need a DE I don't think we should spend the money on Kerney.
Unless we are trading up to get Johnson I don't see any reason we don't draft Gaines Adams or Jamaal Anderson.
In my opinion, they would be a better value than Kerney.
Don't get me wrong, he's a good player but we can draft one cheaper.
If we are planning to draft CJ then by all means try for Kerney.
    If not, leave him alone.

if were the first team to draft a DE in the draft then we will likely pay the rookie as much as or more..i do think we should take one of those guys in the draft, but not for financial purposes like ur saying..also, if we already have a trade in place to move up for johnson, then by all means, please sign kerney
People who see life as anything more than pure entertainment are missing the point.

Lets all remember that Udeze played out of position last year.
What you should be saying is, Udeze moves back to his position, plug Kerney (or whoever they get to rush the QB from that side) in and hope that Erasmus comes back healthy.

Long story short, we shouldn't be getting rid of any DE's until we find out who is gonna show.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

True but I'd rather pay a 22 year old stud then a 30 year old at the DE position.
Sure Kerney is proven and I usually like proven over draftees.
However, if you watch Adams and Anderson you will see my point.
I'd rather use the money to go after proven WRs than a somewhat beat up 30 year old.
But like you said, if we do trade up to get CJ by all means go after Kerney.

    Re: Kerney on Vikings radar?

They can be on the Vikings radar all day long, but until they do something about it, it doesn't matter.. With the exception of Kevin Curtis today, and Ashlie Lelie on Monday (if he doesn't get signed by a different team by then) the Vikings most likely will bring in a bunch of career backups.. I don't see us upgrading our WR crew very much at all the way it is going..

We could easily be setting up visits with Stallworth, Stokley, Bennett, and Horn.. We haven't done that yet, or at least not known yet.. It baffles me that we haven't considering how much we need WR help.. I guess I will just wait for Billy McMullen to lead the league next season in Yards, and TD's.. :
